Liquid Flow Meters

Selecting & Specifying Liquid Flow Meters

How Do I Choose the Right Flow Meter for My Requirement?

Flow meters play a vital role in industrial measurement, and selecting the right flow technology requires careful consideration of all relevant parameters from the start.

Before choosing a flow measurement device, always review the complete technical specification, data sheet, and installation instructions for the flow meter you’re considering. If you’re unsure, consult your supplier—whether Titan or one of our global partners—to help you identify the optimal flow meter for your application.

Flow meters generally fall into six main categories:

Differential Pressure Devices

Variable area meters, mechanical flap devices.

Inferential Devices

Turbine meters, propeller meters.

Positive Displacement Meters

Oval Gear, nutating disc, oscillating piston.

Fluidic Devices

Vortex meters.

Velocity Measuring Devices

Ultrasonic and electro-magnetic meters.

Mass Flow Measurement Meters

Coriolis thermal.

Specialists in Low Flow Measurement

Measuring and controlling very low flow rates can be challenging, both for users and flow sensor manufacturers, as suitable technology at a reasonable cost is often difficult to find. Titan Enterprises specializes in low-flow measurement, defining low flow as anything below 50 ml/min. Many of our customers require precise measurements within the 2 to 20 ml/min range.
